Welcome to Grena Road Day Nursery and Preschool, Richmond. We are part of the award-winning childcare company, Casterbridge Nurseries. The company adopts best practice through high standards of quality childcare and early years education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.  The nursery school and preschool has undergone a full refurbishment which has created a bright, stimulating and inviting environment.

 

Our ethos is based on the belief that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to fulfill their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important and when parents or carers chose a nursery or preschool they want the assurance that the provision will keep their children safe and support them to thrive. The government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework which the nursery follows in order to provide that assurance.

 

We were inspected by Ofsted in September 2009 and received a 'Good' rating, saying "Overall, the quality of the provision is good. Self-evaluation is used effectively to continually develop the children's welfare and learning experiences and all children make good progress. Children arrive happily and thoroughly enjoy their time at the setting. Staff maintain a calm, industrious atmosphere."  

 

 

Whether you require full time early years education or part time childcare for your child the nursery will do their upmost to accommodate your requirements.

 

We provide childcare from 7.30am to 6.30pm, 52 weeks per year (closed for Bank Holidays). Children can attend our nursery for full days (7.30am to 6.30pm), and our preschool children also have the option for attending for half days (7.30am to 1pm or 1pm to 6.30pm) as well as full days.

 

Grena Road is also proud to offer an After School and Holiday Club for children aged 5 to 8 years old.

 

Our nursery and preschool services are fully inclusive so your child will receive meals, snacks, milk, even nappies are provided. See Meals and Nutrition for further information.
